The AZ Kachinas are the only club hockey organization for girls to play in Arizona.
Their 16 AAA team has played well this season, with a record of 13-14-3.
They are currently second in the Rocky Mountain division, and 48th of all USA 16U teams.
Some people were very surprised to see the team perform so well.
"If you told me we would .500 on the season, I'd tell you to check your head," said Bob Hurley, father of Lily Hurley, one of the goalies on the team.

Most of the games that they have played have been out of town, as they have had tournaments in Massachusetts, Minnesota, and Washington state.
Tatum Krol, a defender on the team, said that she likes playing other teams around the country.
"It's fun just seeing how teams from other places and other countries play," Krol said.
"It's fun to play against other teams that are way better than you cause you can see that you can become that."
A lot of players use these tournaments to showcase their talent to scouts, as players such as forward Keira Shin, have already gotten looks from colleges.
The team is coached by the President of the AZ Kachinas, Lyndsey Fry, who won a silver medal with the Olympic Ice Hockey team in 2014.
This is Fry's first year coaching an older group of kids, and she said that having a great time doing it.
"This is the first year I've been all in for one group," Fry said. "It's an absolute blast."
The players are having a good time this season too, with them enjoying how well they have been performing.
"We're getting really consistent with winning games," Forward Calleigh Streit said. "We're playing well as a team."
"I feel like our bond is really good on and off the ice," said Natale.
